Pilot bus service during rush hours

Thanks to the efforts and cooperation of Ondenremers Contact Cranendonck (OCC), Hermes, Brainport Bereikbaar and the municipality of Cranendonck, among others, the Future Energy Lab will be accessible by public transport from August 28. For 3.5 months, a bus will run in the morning and evening rush hour from Maarheeze station to the Clement van Maasdijkstraat in Airpark business park and vice versa.

Times

  • Bus line 166 leaves Maarheeze station at 7:40 and arrives at Clement van Maasdijkstraat (central location at Airpark Budel) at 7:50.
Sprinter from Eindhoven and Weert arrive at 7.33 and 7.26 respectively and bus 11 from Eindhoven-Leende-Soerendonk arrives at 7.37.
  • Bus 166 departs at 17.10 from Clement van Maasdijkstraat and arrives at Maarheeze station at 17.20.
Connecting sprinter to Eindhoven and Weert departs at 5:27 and 5:33 p.m., respectively. Bus 11 to Soerendonk-Leende-Eindhoven departs at 5:21 p.m.

During the pilot, the desirability and feasibility of other travel alternatives during the working day to improve accessibility such as deployment of an 8-seater bus and/or e-bikes from Maarheeze station and the encouragement of co-driving and electric bicycles from the wind directions where public transport is not possible will also be examined.

Behind the scenes, we are busy setting up the Iron Power Community website.

A central website in which all information about Iron Power, the active parties and the projects is visible. Metalot acts as an independent, non-commercial player in the role of community builder.

We aim for a launch in mid-December 2024.
